WARM OR HOTWe really liked the CR-Z Mugen that we tested back in issue 118, but the question remained if there would be a market for a limited edition collaboration between Honda UK and Mugen Euro.

The answer is the CR-Z iCF, a new 175bhp model that will slot into the hybrid line-up and could cost as little as £24k (only £3k more than the CR-Z GT's OTR price).

Mugen Euro's input comes in the form of its 'iCF' system (supercharger, induction system and remapped ECU) as fitted to the CR-Z Mugen, here making almost 50% more power than the standard car and slashing three seconds from its 0-62mph time.

Don't get carried away by the picture though – the Mugen wheels and body kit are optional extras that would add more than £7k to the retail price.

The CR-Z iCF will be available for test-drives at the eight Honda UK Mugen dealers in the spring.
